In this article, I will share one of my favorite Maths Trick. This trick will turn you into a lightning-fast adding machine.

The Effect- Five-digit, five rows addition within 2 seconds!! Answer from left to right.

Materials-Paper, Pens

The trick-Your volunteer writes down the first five digit number. When you write down the next number, make sure that each digit in your number, when added to the one above it will total nine.

Volunteer’s Number: 37854

Your number:               62145   (Because 6+3=9,7+2=9 and so on)

Ask your volunteer to write down another five-digit number below these two. Write the next five-digit number following the same nine- principle. After your volunteer writes down the fifth five-digit number, draw a line under it. Here’s how to find the total: Subtract two from the fifth digit of the number your volunteer just wrote and put two in front of what’s left.

For example: (V.N- Volunteer’s number; Y.N- Your number)

V.N: 37854

Y.N:62145

V.N:42896

Y.N: 57103

V.N:23789

Subtracting two from the fifth digit of the last number leaves 23787. Placing a 2 in front of that gives us the final answer: 223787

Tip: Practice 4-5 times with your self before doing it in front of the audience
