Janaka and Ashtavakra- Book review by Sashini Manikandan

Janaka and Ashtavakra by Ashraf Karayath, is the book which is my go-to source for my daily snippet of spiritual advice for this complex world. This book covers various aspects of practicing simplicity, serenity and asceticism. This book is written in a style, that can be a little complicated to understand, but all the same the must-read for the book for an ardent lover of philosophical and spiritual books. A little background on Indian mythology of Ramayana will, help the reader to connect to the setting of this book.

(Spoiler Alert!)

This story is about a quest for the knowledge of the unknown, questions about absolute realities and a journey towards spiritual liberation, which only requires a devoted heart and a steadfast soul.

This book was a refreshing read for me, as the hidden meaning is unfolded towards the climax of this book.
