“When was the last time, we actually used an herbal cure to
cure our illness?”
The truth is, we have turned to chemical treatments which
are more costly, not environment friendly and has side-effects on the human
body. Ayurveda and Herbal treatments is a go-to solution for us-– cost
effectively and treats more than one ailments. These herbal treatments are
comparable to the divine hands of the almighty to help the common man. One such
pair of divine hands is the Giloy (Guduchi) plant. It has various benefits,
which are yet unknown to the masses. Studies have demonstrated that different
parts of giloy plants are full of antioxidants and phytochemicals It is used in
the treatment and curing of many diseases and known as panacea for all the
diseases and disorders.

Boosts immunity of the body
purifies the blood and fights bacteria- Giloy boosts immunity. Combats liver
diseases and urinary tract infection. Rejuvenates the body.

Improves Digestion-
Contains antioxidant properties, that improve health and also fight dangerous
diseases. It removes toxins from the kidneys and the liver and flushes out the
radicals out of the body, which improves digestion.

Brings down sugar levels
and helps curing diabetes- Reduces blood sugar levels, and helps in curing
diabetes

Helps as Anti-ageing herb- Contains
anti-ageing properties, removes dark spots, pimples, fine lines, and wrinkles.
Also gives a glowing skin and a shiny look on the face

anxiety- Giloy (Guduchi) has adaptogenic properties which relieves stress and
anxiety. Has a soothing and a calming effect of the mind and protects the brain

life-threatening conditions. Also increases the count of platelets in our
blood. Useful in treating dengue, malaria and jaundice.

How can we incorporate Giloy into our daily diet?
1.
Making Giloy shots/ tea-
Making a small amount of Giloy juice or powder with water (hot or cold),
turmeric, ginger, and black pepper to help support our immune system. Also
reduces joint pain.
2.
Juicing the stems- Boil the
stem for some time and then drain the liquid and store in the refrigerator
3.
Applying to the skin- This
cures skin diseases mentioned above. Can be used as a cream or a simple
homemade remedy of giloy powder & water to reduce inflammation on the skin.
